Sgocciola — Terms of Service

Acceptance

By using Sgocciola you confirm that you have read and accepted these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Using the service

There is no account to create: the only identity involved is your Apple Account, if you choose to sync. You are responsible for the device and the account you use. You must be at least 13 years old.

Your content

You keep ownership of everything you enter: plants, rooms, notes, photos and the history of what you have logged. It stays on your device and, if you turn syncing on, in your iCloud; we do not reach it and receive no copy.

The due dates are an estimate

Intervals start from average values per species and get corrected by the conditions you declare yourself — season, pot, light, soil, heating. They are a guide, not an agronomic prescription. A plant can suffer for reasons the app knows nothing about: a disease, a pest, the quality of the water, a draught, a growing medium different from the one you set. The app does not even know what the weather is doing.

Before watering, check the soil. For a valuable plant, a delicate species or a collection, Sgocciola can remind you of the round, but it must not be the only thing you rely on.

Notifications are not guaranteed

Reminders are local notifications and depend on the operating system. A revoked permission, a device switched off or out of battery, Focus, Scheduled Summary or the limit on how many notifications iOS keeps queued can delay them or stop them altogether. There is no delivery guarantee, and a reminder that fails to arrive is not the app's responsibility.

Permitted use

The app is for keeping the care of your houseplants in order. Do not use it for illegal activity, do not try to decompile or resell it, and do not present it as someone else's work.

Limitation of liability

The app is provided “as is”. We do our best to keep it working, but we cannot guarantee it will be free of errors or interruptions. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damage to plants, property or people arising from use of the app or from reminders failing to work. Rights that the law grants to consumers and that cannot be excluded remain unaffected.

Termination

You can stop whenever you like: deleting the app removes the local data. Since we do not manage accounts, we cannot suspend you: the app is yours and local.

Changes

If these terms change, the date at the top will be updated. Continuing to use the app after a change counts as acceptance of the updated version.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Italian law. For any dispute, the competent court is the one for the consumer's place of residence.
